Unity in diversity
We believe that diversity strengthens communities. Since 2009, our Small Worlds® workshops and weekly drop-in have been inspiring conversations, connections and new initiatives across NI and beyond. Here are some examples:
Cafe del Mondo, Derry/L'derry (2010)
The Braid, Ballymena (2011)
Ground Cafe, Coleraine (2011)
The Globe, east Belfast (2013)
North Belfast Friendship Club (2016)
Blether Cafe, Glasgow (2017)
Building Communities Resource Centre, Coleraine (2020)
Our mission is simple: to promote diversity, inclusion and integration across NI and beyond, welcoming people of all backgrounds irrespective of race, religion, identity, ethnicity, class, income, age or status to find common ground.
Building social capital and enabling change
Through our weekly drop-in, Belfast Friendship Club, we welcome newcomers - and locals - with open arms, offering peer support, informal signposting and friendship. But our work doesn't stop there.
We also support organisations to do likewise through mentoring, training and consultancy.
We are Together
- and we believe in the strength of diversity.
Our approach is people-centred, grassroots led and built on an authenticity that cultivates trust and confidence over many years.
Everything we do is geared towards dismantling the barriers to inclusive practice.
